About Us

KIDS COUNT in Washington is a joint effort of the Children’s Alliance and the Washington State Budget & Policy Center. Together, we gather and analyze the best emerging data on how kids are doing in our state, and then turn that information into action on issues like poverty, hunger, health care, and education. This report is funded in part by The Annie E. Casey Foundation. We thank them for their support and acknowledge that the findings and conclusions presented herein are those of the authors alone, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Foundation.
